  1. Panpan – PANNAVICH WESWIBUL (SPIP Alumni)

I researched about him [King Rama 6] and found that he’s Thailand’s first cartoonist, the first to publish drawings in magazines. Originally, they are called ‘Pap Lor’ which is a type of cartoon. I took the inspiration of using lines mostly instead of colouring and using greyscale to recreate the sense of cartoons that he used to draw.

  1. Tammy- PANNALAK SUTTHIRAKSAWONG (Y10)
  • In the whole process, what I enjoyed the most was when I painted the background because I think it was kind of fun when I tried to splash the paint over the frame.
  • For me, the most challenging part of the process was when I had to draw every element, like King Rama VI, the building, and the uniformed student, onto the frame because I don’t really good at drawing pictures, but I tried my best to do it.
  • Through creating my art contribution, I learned lots of things, especially for my drawing skill that I don’t have to draw to make it look similar to the picture I have for example, but I can draw only what I saw on it, because it can be a unique way how I represent my artwork.

  1. Nichaphat Buabucha (Satit Prasarnmit Demonstration School)
On the left is King Vajiravudh Rama 6, since he is known for his writings, I’ve chosen a few to represent some of his works. Which one of them is the lady turning into a rose. On the right is Phya Bhaskarawonse, his work is related to forming relationships with other countries which is the reason why I drew some flags of countries he has been to. The touch of gold is for aesthetic and to have them appear more grand. I’ve had a lot of fun working on this project.
